How we handle the information you share with us.
Answerability.ai is an methodology-first research practice. We collect personal information only to deliver the engagement you've requested. We don't sell it, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't have an analytics or marketing-attribution stack that aggregates it.
What we collect
- Form submissions — when you request a sample report, a diagnostic, or a sprint discussion, we collect your name, work email, company, domain, and any notes you choose to share. The form post goes directly to our research inbox.
- Payment information — Stripe processes all payments. We never see or store card numbers. Stripe shares billing email, last four digits, country, and the amount with us for accounting purposes.
- Server logs — Cloudflare records standard HTTP request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp, path) for security and abuse prevention. We don't tie this to identity.
Cookies and analytics
How analytics load depends on where you are. In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the site loads zero cookies and zero analytics until you explicitly opt in via the consent banner — if you decline or never respond, nothing loads. Everywhere else (including the United States), anonymous usage analytics load on arrival under implied consent, and a notice lets you opt out with one click. Your choice is remembered, and you can change it any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
The two providers, in either case, are:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate page views, sessions, and conversion events. We use it to understand which pages help visitors find the diagnostic and where the funnel leaks. IP addresses are anonymized; we do not enable Google Signals or ad personalization. Data retention is set to the minimum (14 months).
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session recordings and heatmaps. Used to find UI issues (forms that confuse, copy that gets skipped). Recordings exclude any text typed into form fields, and IP addresses are not stored.
You can revoke consent any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or by clearing cookies for this domain. We do not run Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok Pixel, or any other ad-network conversion tracking. We do not enable cross-site identifiers or build remarketing audiences.
What we don't collect
- No analytics until opt-in in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland; anonymous analytics with one-click opt-out elsewhere. No cookies are set for visitors who decline or opt out.
- No third-party advertising trackers. No Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, no remarketing audiences.
- No newsletter signups, no follow-up email sequences.
- No data brokers, no enrichment vendors, no sales of data.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and scope an engagement.
- To deliver the artifact you've purchased.
- For accounting and tax compliance.
Confidentiality during engagements
Every engagement is governed by a mutual non-disclosure agreement signed before scoping. Your domain, your buyers, your competitors, your scores, and anything in the report — none of it leaves the engagement. Reports referenced on this site as examples either have explicit written permission from the engagement sponsor, or are anonymized to the point where the original engagement is not identifiable. The practice's confidentiality posture is summarized on the about page.
Sub-processors
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. Standard HTTP request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) retained for security and abuse prevention.
- Resend — outbound email delivery (autoresponders and notifications).
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives billing details directly; we never see or store card numbers.
- Google Workspace — inbound mail for the practice (hello@answerability.ai).
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site analytics, opt-in in the EU/UK/EEA/CH, opt-out elsewhere.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session replay and heatmaps, opt-in in the EU/UK/EEA/CH, opt-out elsewhere.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Email hello@answerability.ai and we'll get back to you.
Retention
Active engagement records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax and audit purposes. Form submissions where no engagement followed are deleted after twelve months.
